ReClaim is a lost-and-found service that links a physical QR tag to a digital listing of the object it belongs to. Finders scan the tag to contact the owner. The system only works if every tag honestly describes the object it is attached to. These Terms explain what that means, what we ask of you, and what happens if the rules are broken.

By creating an account you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account.

01 — Your Account

• 1.You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required to consent to digital services in your country, to use ReClaim.
• 2.You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account.
• 3.Your email address must be real and reachable. It is how we contact you regarding your account or your registered items.

02 — One Tag, One Item

One Tag, One Item

This is the rule the whole service depends on:

• 1.A ReClaim QR code must only ever be attached to the single physical item it was registered under. If you register a QR for your wallet, that QR must stay on that wallet — not on anything else.
• 2.If the item is replaced, sold, given away, or thrown out, delete the listing.
• 3.Do not register fictional, misleading, or joke items.
• 4.Do not use ReClaim to send spam, advertising, harassment, or abusive messages to finders.

03 — Enforcement

Three-Strike Enforcement

When a finder scans a tag, they are asked whether the item shown in the app matches the physical object they are holding. If they answer No, that is recorded as a strike against that tag.

• 1.On the third strike from three separate finders within 24 hours, that specific QR tag is automatically disabled and stops working.
• 2.Only the individual tag is affected — your account and other registered items remain active.
• 3.If you believe a strike was issued in error, contact support. We may investigate disputed reports and reverse them if clear misuse of the reporting system occurred.

• 1.Report items honestly. Do not flag a tag as mismatched unless the physical object genuinely does not match the registered listing.
• 2.Abusing the reporting system is itself a violation of these Terms.
• 3.Keep found items reasonably safe until the owner replies, and do not demand payment or rewards as a condition for returning them.

05 — Payments

Payments

Paid plans are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store in-app purchase system.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Renewal charges are processed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account. You can manage or cancel subscriptions anytime through your device account settings.

A suspended or banned account is not entitled to a refund for unused subscription time unless required by applicable law.

06 — Privacy

Privacy

We store the minimum amount of data needed to operate the service, including your email address, registered item data, finder reports, and account-related activity. The data controller responsible for this processing is Wiselegg Meadows GmbH (see Contact & Imprint below).

Finders who use in-app chat share only the information they voluntarily provide in their message. Finders who choose phone hand-off share only the number they provide during the report.

Website data. When you visit re-claim.ch, our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs — including your IP address, browser type, and the time of access — for security and operational purposes. The website uses your browser's local storage only to remember your sticker-preview preference. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies and do not track you across websites.

Service providers. We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate ReClaim: Supabase (database, account authentication, and file storage), Stripe (payment processing), and Resend (transactional email). These providers process data on our behalf and may store it on servers located in the European Union or the United States.

Your rights. Under Swiss data protection law you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

We do not sell personal data.

07 — Your Content

Content You Submit

You retain ownership of the content you submit, including item descriptions and messages. By submitting content to ReClaim, you grant us a non-exclusive right to store, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the service.

08 — Prohibited Uses

Prohibited Uses

• 1.Do not use ReClaim to track, surveil, stalk, or monitor another person without their knowledge and consent.
• 2.Do not register items you do not own or do not have permission to register.
• 3.Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, exploit, or bypass any part of the service, including subscription or access systems.
• 4.Do not use ReClaim in connection with illegal activity or to impersonate another person.

09 — Termination

Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the platform.

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

10 — Changes

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated within the app or through other reasonable means. Continued use of ReClaim after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11 — Disclaimer

Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

ReClaim is provided "as is" and "as available". While we do our best to operate the service reliably and securely, we cannot guarantee that lost items will be returned, that QR scans will always function correctly, or that the service will be available uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ReClaim and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of property, loss of data, loss of profits, misuse of QR tags, inaccurate listings, finder behavior, or inability to recover an item.

Users are solely responsible for how they use ReClaim QR tags and for ensuring that the information attached to a tag accurately describes the physical object it is attached to.
